Do I need to have a lawn to install a Sweetie Bird Stork?

Yes. We install our birth announcement stork signs on traditional residential lawns. We define a lawn as a wide expanse of unobstructed soil with grass on the top. We cannot install signs in rocks, pea gravel, concrete, mulch, flower beds, raised beds, garden pots, thick landscaping, or hard-packed soil that has been used as a driveway. We are unable to install signs in areas where rocks / small boulders cover the “yard” or are prominent in the “yard.” We are required to drive the stake into the ground 10 inches to properly and safely install a stork sign, which is not possible in the situations described above. We also cannot place a stork sign in front of public utility boxes, water mains, or any other structure owned by the city, county, or state. We cannot impede access to these areas or we could be fined and/or have our signs destroyed because they are impeding the area.

When should I reserve a stork sign?

We accept reservations for our signs only for scheduled births or events. For normal delivery, please place an order via our form here as the baby is born, and we will try our best to set up the stork in the yard before the baby and parents arrive home from the hospital. Under normal circumstances, we will deliver within 24-48 hours. If you have placed an order and did not get an email notification for the order, please text us at 919-391-0137. Kindly call us if you have sent us a message and have not heard from us. Our operating hours are Daylight Hours – 7 Days a Week

How long can I rent the Stork Sign for?

For birth announcements of your new baby or grandbaby, you can rent the stork sign for 7 days. For events, our adorable stork signs can be rented for one day. Contact us for more information on renting a stork yard sign for your newborn.

Where will you install the newborn announcement sign in the yard?

We will try to stake the sign in the front yard so that it is visible from the road and also provides a great backdrop for photos with family. If you have a specific place in mind, please inform us before we arrive, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

What is the cost of the new baby stork lawn sign and are there any extra charges?

Our stork signs for birth announcements are available for rent at $95 each and include a personalized bundle that serves as a keepsake after the rental period. Our all-inclusive service includes the delivery, set up, and pickup of the storks. The personalized bundles and any other signs are also left behind as keepsakes.

You can place an order as soon as a baby is born here, or you can call us, text us at 919-391-0137, or email us at sweetiebirdstorks@gmail.com. We only reserve the signs once the payment is complete. We require full payment to be received before sign delivery takes place.

Do you offer signs for multiple births like twins, triplets, or quadruplets?

We install a separate sign for each baby; each bundle carrying a baby’s details. Please text us to check the availability of storks for multiple births by calling or texting us at 919-391-0137.

Do you offer yard signs for grandparents to celebrate the birth of their grandson or granddaughter?

Proud Grandparents can rent our stork signs to announce their brand new grandbaby to their friends and neighbors. Each stork comes with a personalized bundle with the details of the baby. The bundle is a keepsake and is left behind after stork pickup at end of the rental. Family and friends are welcome to rent this sign for proud grandparents.

Do you offer any yard signs for older siblings to feel a part of the celebration?

Siblings need not feel left out. We offer star-shaped signs which are personalized with the older sister or brother’s name and are installed next to the stork sign. These star-shaped signs are left behind as a keepsake and can be used by the proud sibling as a door hanger to their room.

Under what circumstances do you cancel and refund an order?

We refund an order only when extreme weather conditions prevent us from setting up the signs.
However, we do not cancel or refund an order if

• We are encountering difficulties accessing the gated community due to a lack of a gate code or an issue with the provided code.
• The security guard is denying us entry, and it is crucial that access is arranged beforehand as we cannot wait at the gate for more than 10 minutes.
• In some instances, the homeowner or recipient prevents us from setting up the sign or requests that we remove it before the end of the rental period.
• Additionally, if there are threatening animals.
• If the location lacks a traditional lawn (defined as an unobstructed expanse of soil with grass on top), we are unable to install signs. This includes areas with rocks, pea gravel, concrete, mulch, raised beds, garden pots, thick landscaping, hard-packed soil used as a driveway, or where rocks/boulders prominently cover the “yard.” Our sign installation requires driving the stake 10 inches into the ground, which is not possible in these situations.
